An Update From Ukraine
At the time of devastating military escalation in Ukraine in the last couple of month and increasing political and religious repression in Russia, the prayers and support of the local saints would have not been more timely and have contributed into amazing Kingdom breakthroughs:
- Dmytro from MIRAS Fund Orphanage ran a summer camp and humanitarian aids to frontline:
"We want to thank you again for your donation! We have done a lot of work in a month. During this time, we successfully conducted an away Christian camp and a camping trip with children. And we continue our work and the mission of a shelter in the city of Dnipro for mothers with children and the mission of humanitarian aid in the frontline cities of the Donetsk region.
We bless our partners and pray for you with a prayer of thanksgiving.
Thank you for your kind hearts and bright souls!
With love for Christ, MIRAS team, Dmytro"
- Yuriy and Christ the Saviour Church Tiraspil on the Ukrainian border supported refugees, and ran a Summer camp, embracing many children and families affected by the war. Over a hundred young people were supported, heard and responded to the Gospel just in the first of three camps.
"And thank you for remembering us in your prayers. It is amazing how God works in the lives of His children. Thank you very much to you and Crawley Community Church for your financial support in serving children"
- Rostyslav from Khmelnitsky & Dnipro Church, Ukraine
'We thankfully received this donation, and it is very timely. Thank you so much for keeping us in your hearts and in your prayers and also in such acts of love! I bet your plate is full now, therefore this support is even more valuable.
As the war continues, we seek for the Lord's guidance to go through this evil time victoriously with Christ. The Lord is leading us to strengthen the believers, to raise up the new generation, to equip the new layer of leadership. Prayer and worship are very essential at this time. Also, we continue our humanitarian mission. The church runs the "Bread of Life" project, we were provided with the funds to start the bakery, and now we are backing up to 700 loaves of bread every week, and we distribute it for free to IDPs, to volunteers, to hospitals. This project gives us the opportunity to invite people to the therapeutic group "Overcoming the sorrow". Over two dozen people traumatized by the war went through this course, a lot of them joined the church's small group, some of them were baptized in water recently. We are also developing a chaplaincy ministry, both for military and police. It is highly required, and this field is very ripe".
"Just a short note to let you know that we lift you all and Great Britain in our prayers at this season. We proclaim the Lord's reign and victory over every power of darkness. May He rule in justice and mercy! And may people's hearts be turned to God in prayer and submission. When Jesus told Peter that He will build His church, He mentioned that the primary conflict and area of action will be in the spiritual conflict. So may the Bride of Christ rise at this hour in divine authority and influence! Blessings, Rostyslav"
- Pastor Vasyl from the frontlines in Ukraine
Sends thanks and "warm greetings to beloved brothers and sisters in Christ! May the blessing of God’s grace and peace be upon you and your loved ones!" They are most grateful to CCC support which enabled them to bring the good news to the frontlines.
Almost daily they visit between 2 and 4 subdivisions which means driving 20 to 60 miles every day through broken roads and dangerous areas. They were ministering to soldiers of two battalions who just came from the front line, they were all in battles they all lost friends, they all went through the hell on earth and for that reason pastor Vasyl thought that naturally you'd expect these men's hearts to be closed, and not receptive to the Gospel. Pastor Vasyl said that because all of them killed people in battle some of them think God is angry with them, so they naturally would not want to know about God,but amazingly, they were so receptive and very open to the Gospel that it overwhelmed the team!! Pastor Vasyl said that in every subdivision, every soldier unit they visited, every person wanted to pray to receive Jesus as Lord and Saviour!
